
Bassem Moez, founder of Fortress Financial Planning, can easily be described as the essence of the American dream. Originally from Egypt, Bassem emigrated to the United States in 1995 at the age of 25. As an enthusiastic young entrepreneur, Bassem started in retail banking at Comerica Bank. In 1997, he began his role as a financial advisor with Ameriprise, formerly known as American Express Financial. As an advisor at Ameriprise, Bassem found his passion for positively impacting real lives, helping people realize their dreams, meet lifetime goals, and develop financial wealth and stability. Recognizing the financial industry’s need for a more all-inclusive approach to financial planning, and through his years of education and experience, Bassem follows a holistic approach to financial wellness, unique to each individual, family, and business and he will cater his services to every individual he meets.
When not working, Bassem now a father of three, enjoys spending time with his wife and children in Farmington Hills, MI. In his leisure time Bassem enjoys watching soccer and traveling. He also has a passion for serving the community and for the past 5 years has been a volunteer member of the Board of Directors at Oakland International Academy in Detroit, MI, a charter school dedicated to serving
underserved areas.
